Lenzing™ FR branded fibers offer protection from burns, heat stress, and heat stroke caused by flash fires, electric arcs, and other thermal hazards. Made from wood, a natural raw material, the fibers inherently protect from heat and flame. Only Lenzing™ FR fibers are produced with the sustainable Lenzing Modal® fiber technology. This process results in the highest fiber strength with permanent flame and heat protection built in.
Aramid fibers are a class of heat-resistant and strong synthetic fibers. They are used in aerospace and military applications, for ballistic-rated body armor fabric and ballistic composites. Para-aramid fibers, such as Kevlar, provide outstanding strength-to-weight properties.
Polyamides occur both naturally and artificially. Examples of naturally occurring polyamides are proteins, such as wool and silk. Synthetic polyamides are commonly used in textiles, automotive applications and sportswear due to their high durability and strength.
No-Shock® branded anti-static fiber is a permanent anti-static solution for fabrics. The anti-static material is an inherent part of the fiber, not a treatment or post-application, so it lasts as long as the fiber or fabric. The fibers are used in industrial work wear, flame-retardant garments, military uniforms, etc.
