ORIGINS

Where it began

Our story began in Moss, Norway, more than a century ago.

Surrounded by unforgiving seas and harsh weather, our founders understood what it takes to protect life at sea. This early insight laid the foundation for a company dedicated to engineered personal protection for maritime, offshore energy, defence, and rescue sectors.

1877
Founded in Norway with a mission to protect life and property through engineered textiles.
1932
Expanded into marine safety equipment with specialised flotation systems.
1976
Launched our first generation of survival and immersion suits for offshore operations and cold-water environments.
1995
Introduced integrated service solutions, enabling turnkey PPE management for fleet and energy operators.
2014-2018
Strengthened our service network and expanded internationally to better support energy, offshore wind and maritime sectors.
2021
Became part of the Survitec Group, a global leader in survival technology, expanding our scale, reach and capability to serve customers worldwide.
2022
Took responsibility for additional wearables brands within the wider group, reinforcing our role as a core provider of integrated protective solutions.
