Halo Training Lifejacket

The Halo Training Lifejacket has been developed to meet the demands of frequent use in helicopter underwater escape training (HUET) programmes and other offshore survival training scenarios, where durability and ease of maintenance are essential. It is based on the operational Halo lifejacket design but tailored for training use to withstand the repeated rigours of opening, closing and repacking.

Constructed from hard-wearing, quick-dry materials and equipped with a robust closure system, the training lifejacket is easier to manage and service than operational variants. The inflation bladder is modified to simulate the performance of an operational system while reducing rearming costs and simplifying the repacking process. Components that have expiry dates in actual service, such as strobe lights, are removed to streamline maintenance and reduce ongoing training costs.

The jacket is ergonomically shaped to mirror the feel and in-water behaviour of the standard Halo design, helping trainees develop familiarity with the form and function of aviation lifejackets in a training context. It supports mobility and airway protection during in-water practice drills, enabling training providers to deliver realistic, durable lifejacket experiences aligned with offshore survival training requirements.
